Meetings with the prophet Chuck has never boded well for the Winchester brothers and neither does it in this work from the hands of thevinegarworks. A vision of Castiel killing Dean sends Chuck on a search for the brothers to try and help them avoid Dean's foretold death. The news forces the brothers and their allies into more-or-less well-thoughtout rescue plans, but Chuck has never been wrong before.
thevinegarworks tells a gripping tale of classic self-sacrificing Winchester brothers and their allies who become caught in the middle, just hoping to still be standing when it's all over. She switches between different pov's but manages to do justice to all and especially Chuck's voice stands out, reminiscent of the Chuck from the show. Thevinegarworks does a very good job at creating and holding the tension until it all blows up and then you get caught up in another twist that hauls you along for the ride. She gives space to all her characters and shows us how utterly important the brothers are to each other and still manages to weave Castiel seamlessly into the story.
