The tempting aroma hit him before he even entered the kitchen. Stepping in, he breathed deeply, sighing in pleasure at the rich scent. Kyrano smiled, bidding him good morning.
Returning the greeting, Jeff made his way to the coffee pot. A faint steam rose as he poured the dark liquid into a cup. Two sugars stirred in well, and it was ready. He sipped carefully, acclimating mouth and tongue to the heat, avoiding a scalding. A few more slurping sips and the distinctive flavor fully matched the mouth-watering fragrance.
He raised his cup in salute. “Just what I needed, Kyrano.”
