Summary: Castiel is misinformed about mistletoe.
Dean thinks that it's probably best if he doesn't ask any questions about what exactly is going through Castiel's head right now. 'cause, yeah, he's pretty sure it's nothing too angelic. No harps, no clouds, no white robes. Dean's pretty sure they don't have kissing in heaven. That would have been mentioned in the Bible, right?
Yet Castiel has him pushed against the nearest tree and has a mouth that is apparently more skilled at this than Dean would have anticipated. His tongue is nimble, his hands are sneaky, and he's already shown that he knows exactly how to suck at Dean's bottom lip in a way to make him agree to anything in the world. Dean thinks, incoherently, that he ought to be worried. Random push-and-kisses are rarely as random as they appear. It's usually a sign of something else, something bigger, something possibly demon-related. He should be worrying.
He should not be bucking against Castiel's hip and moaning like he hasn't got laid in months.
(Although, truth be told, he hasn't. Having an angel in the backseat makes it difficult to score.)
Castiel finishes with one long, patient run of his tongue over Dean's bottom lip, before he steps back as if he'd never done anything at all. He smooths his hands down his jacket and readjusts his tie. He isn't any more creased than normal.
"Cas?" Dean says. Castiel blinks at him. "What the hell?"
Castiel apparently deems blinking to be an understandable answer. Maybe it's in code. "There is mistletoe in this tree," he states.
Dean looks up. In the darkness, he can just about make out a dark blob in the branches. "You do realise it isn't Christmas?" he checks.
Castiel looks away from him. Dean tends to take that as a sign of embarrassment or frustration these days. Given the circumstances, he isn't sure which one it's most likely to be this time.
"I have been misinformed," Castiel says, before he pauses. "I apologise."
He disappears before Dean has a chance to say a single word - and that habit of his is really goddamn annoying. Dean looks up at the mistletoe in the tree above his head and resolves to himself to get his hand on some before Castiel pops in again. Christmas be damned.
