Grace watched him, sitting on the sofa in the corner. “Thank you?”
He shook his head. “You know what I mean.”
“Not really.”
“You know just... a girl.” He shrugged slightly and scratched the back of his head. “Would you go out with me?”
“If I was a girl?”
He nodded slightly.
“No.”
“Why not?” he asked, his face falling a little.
“Because you’re Rove.”
He rolled his eyes. “Say I wasn’t me then.”
“Ok, if you aren’t you, who am I? Other than a girl?”
He shrugged.
“Girardi?” she guessed.
He looked at her silently then slowly nodded. “I kinda... think I have a crush on her.”
“A crush? Dude, more like you’re in love with her.”
His eyes widened. “How do-”
“It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what causes all that drool in Chem.” She shrugged. “Only a girl.”
