I read a refreshing article today in my local paper.  It was nice to read something that talked about chronic pain seriously, but with the perspective that the reader might not be a chronic pain sufferer.

I've had pain keep me from sleeping before. I've even had it disturb my sleep so that I've tossed and turn. However, I never have had fibro pain so bad that it WAKES ME UP. I was in a sort of remission for 10 months whereby I was able to return to work. I was able to function at about 60%. Starting last December things started to get worse again and I was trying to push through the pain and fatigue....didn't make it. I have relapsed totally.
