i've had depression. no, i do not think they correlate, OR it could be that being in pain, having the pain pooh-pooh'ed by doctors who are breaking their vow to do no harm and forget that pain is NOT a natural condition, getting no relief, constant insomnia, etc...all of that can cause depression. so its not depression causes fibro, but that having fibro can cause depression.
i have (treated) high blood pressure. i've also had my blood pressure medication halved twice since i was put on the pills.
sunshine helps depression. also maintaining a healthy amount of vitamin D/calcium will help depression (when i was starting to feel depression, my vitamin D was virtually zero.)
at the moment, i'm in the "treat one thing at a time" mode. getting the diabetes monster under submission, dealing with the liver damage i have, those things have taken more precedence than trying to get the fibro treated. oh and the suspected skin cancer i have, that comes before the fibro also.
(but dammit, that's all going to have to wait till june, i WILL be there for my son to graduate high school at the end of may!)
