Went to the rheumatologist yesterday and we talked about how things are going. I told him I was down to one or two days of being incapacitated per week, which I felt was pretty good. He disagreed and says he doesn't "settle" when it comes to patient care. That's an awesome thing to hear. He decided to try me on Neuontin and Tramadol. I was a little leery of Tramadol, because it makes me super lazy and sleepy. I'm definitely not taking the prescribed dose of one or two every six hours. Holy hells, I would be in a coma. When I got it from the pharmacy it was literally a JAR of Tramadol.
However, after taking a couple yesterday, and then the Neurontin at bedtime, I woke up this morning mostly pain free. I've been up and about for a couple of hours, and I'm starting to feel pain creeping in, but I had a good three hours where I felt completely normal. What a gift!
