Location: Phoenix/Tempe, AZ
Hey all -- I haven't had time to post lately thanks to end-of-the-year drama and school finishing (sigh) BUT I wanted to let you know that I was accepted into the ASU Geological Sciences Program in the School of Earth and Space Exploration (ASU SESE for short!)...so I'll be moving to Tempe in August (YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY). This means: warm weather! and hopefully less pain! (double YAYY).
So, I'm giving a shout out to anyone on here who lives in the Phoenix/Tempe area to ask you for:
1) Doctor Rec's (GPs, Rheumy's, etc).
2) Acupuncturists
3) Are there any support groups around? I haven't had the pleasure of anything other than this online FMily and I'd really like to make some "physical" connections.
and
4) Affordable health clubs with exercise classes (yoga, pilates, spinning) (I'm going to be a grad student on a small stipend after all!...and while the school health club sounds fantastic, it doesn't look like spinning is offered -- and I NEED spinning.)
Anywho... seeing as how I've wasted the evening and not taken a shower, cleaned the dirty dishes, nor actually DONE my homework, I figure I should probably attempt 2 out of 3 and get a shower and wash the dishes before heading to bed.
