Whereas,

my computer is not working well;

And

my car is not working well, and had to be taken for repairs;

And

my brain feels fuzzy, and I want to lie down;

Therefore,

I am not working well either.

Three students have whined.

Student 1: I cant' believe I missed the final exam!  I thought it was Wednesday!

The exam was, in fact, on Monday.  Since the student had missed 14 classes during the semester, failed both tests, and missed most of the quizzes, I didn't feel a make-up was called for.

Student 2: Can you explain why I failed the class?
