1. Attended the International Medieval Congress, where I gave a paper, attended meetings, and moderated a panel.
   
2. Turned my conference paper into a full-length article.  I have one complete draft done.
3. Wrote a book proposal.
4. Revised said book proposal twice.
5. Proofread (again) my dissertation (250ish pages).

My book proposal has made it through the first cut--the series editor.  Now on to peer review!

I am finally turning into reality the long-held plan of revising my dissertation into a book.  I'm currently getting my act together to write a book proposal ( Read more... )

Whee!

(And of course, you realize that this makes me an even better job candidate!)

I just spent 1 hour and 20 minutes revising one paragraph in a scholarly article I'm writing.

An hour and twenty minutes. One paragraph.

Ugh.

I have almost finished my secondary research for my paper on Hippolyta. This means that, with the exception of one article and two books, I’ve read all the secondary sources (i.e., scholarly commentary, not the original texts) that might be pertinent to my topic.
