Many of the building's rooms have been converted for personal use, for those who are loyal to Zoe and Willow and who have proven that they can survive for more than just a few nights.

Kate had actually loved Leto. She realized that now. She had had no other choice. Throughout her short but bittersweet span as a vampire she had been imprinted with the knowledge that she was his, and no amount of running around with others could change that. Not even after he grew tired of her. He was what she always came back to.

And now he was gone, and there was nothing left to fulfill her cravings of sudden soft kisses in between cold mockery and harsh looks.

Kate knew that something was going to change on the island, and soon. She had been feeling it for a few days now. Something was off, something was wrong, something was coming. It was even more obvious today. And she didn’t have any fight left in her. She didn’t care. All she was was Leto’s, and now that Leto was no more, there was nothing left to be had. The rasp of a whetstone against metal could be heard from William's room today. He was sharpening his katana, readying himself as always for battle.

The main room of the town hall, where meetings were once held, has been converted to a common area, for socializing, planning, and lounging while waiting for night to fall. It's possible that some nostalgia for the dorm's common rooms went into the decoration and setup of the space.

To say that Zoe was not happy would be a serious understatement. She was losing her people, lots of them, left and right. Between the killings and the ones who just disappeared, it was obvious that something was very wrong, and if the people at the dorms thought she was just going to stand around and wait for her support system to be removed completely, they were sorely mistaken. If she had to keep everyone close tonight, then that would be what she'd do. She had a feeling they would all find enough of the weak to feed on before the night was over.

Gwynn knew that Zoe was plenty unhappy, but she also felt that there was news that she needed to have.

She approached her slowly and then nodded respectfully at her. "Lady Zoe? May I speak with you a moment?"

There seemed to be a different...feel to the room today. Ned could already feel the change in a few people around him and he was intent on keeping his head down and his eyes away from anyone.

Listen, learn, stay alive. That's all he had to do for a little while longer.

After last night's debacle, Gavin wasn't in any kind of mood. Upon seeing fewer and fewer coming up, Gavin really thought they ought to have rules on not turning the stupid and foolhardy.

He was spending his time crouched against one of the walls, wound up and restless.

Kate had often enjoyed the island's way of having different, unrelated people with identical faces. But she did not enjoy it now.

In fact, seeing Gavin was pretty much the last thing she wanted to happen, but when he caught her eye as she made her way into the common area, she couldn't make herself look away.

She was starting to shake. It began with her hands.

Gavin tried to ignore the fact that he was being stared at but it was becoming increasingly difficult. Finally, he looked up and said, "Can I help you with something?"

She made herself look away, and hesitated.

"No, I'm sorry, I..." She made a face at how her voice was cracking. And her words were completely failing her.

"Right. Sorry," she stuttered, stealing a quick glance at him. "I know you can't... help having his face."

She really needed to get away from him. This hurt so much. She turned to go away.
