The great debate: To laugh or cry at the stupidity of others?

I guess I should sum it up as another afternoon of conflict with the BG faithful. Knock on Taj and I'd swear it's like inciting a Jihad that even the Taliban would get jealous of. Even the smartest of 'em get blinded by the herd mentality it seems.

"Fact laced with opinion does not make the opinion fact.

Unravel that one and you'll have the source of the majority of hate."

Was what I said in reference to the general belitting between sites. Nevermind the fact the BG scholars and higher who "don't care about Alla" karma bombed me for it, but I derived great amusement from my cryptic reply bearing fruit and the truth of the matter.

"One site deals with hardcore endgame discussions, takes very little sh*t from dumb posters, and locks dead horse topics before they reach 4 replies.

The other has "Happy Friday" threads."

Being said fruit. The first line's the pertinent one, and the latter's naturally a jab at Alla (and my recent spoof post and summary here should remind some of you of the silly ire it roused). The first, however, is a perfect example of fact and opinion trying to weave itself together into something that ultimately becomes falsehood.

Does BG deal with endgame discussions? Fact, but certainly not all the time.

Does BG take very little shit from dumb poster? Lie. I mean, if they did, they'd have very few actual posters.

Does BG lock dead horse topics before they reach 4 replies? Another lie. This game doesn't change nearly often enough for new material to warrant much discussion for long. Most stratgies wind up looking eerily similar in the longrun.

They're rather rabid in defending that supposed policy, though. Maybe I should give 'em points for perseverence, but a lemming's still a lemming in the end. And according to Aurik, I'm menstrual. Shows ya where their logic lies, I suppose. If you can't argue with the logic, insult the person presenting it in hopes of discrediting them. I anticipate some will fall for the tactic, but I also fear those who agree with me are too timid to speak out. I've seen similar happenings when talking shop about RDM and Avesta.
