Okay, so thank you to everyone for the fast and great feedback on summer jobs! It really helped and here's the way things are looking in case you care, lol.
I dropped off my application at Starbucks, but they said they're just accepting apps. which usually means they're not hiring....but we'll see
I was too late for Champps, they've already hired all the servers they needed. But during my interview, the manager said that one of them might not work out, so if that's the case, he'll call me....but I doubt that'll happen. We'll see....
As Tara said, Borders was impossible to get hired at...lol, at least I tried. They just weren't receptive to the idea of me working there - oh wel!
And I kinda decided against Old Navy because I think I was using it as a last resort for an "easy" job....but I'd much rather work somewhere that I actually want to be at, ya know? And my brother already gets me the discounts.....lol
And yesterday I was at Kenwood mall shopping for dresses for my cousin's wedding, and we ran into Express....and guess what happened? My favorite manager from when I first started was working and he saw me and gave me a big hug and was like "Do you wanna come and work for me?!" And I was like "Uhh....are you hiring?" And he was like, "Yea! And I'd love to have you on staff again, I've missed you!" So I just told him I'd think about it and give him a call asap. So here's waht I'm thinking....I'm going to ask Travis (Express manager) if they can pay me any more than what I used to be making. And I'll do that, but keep Starbucks open....I mean, there's no reason why I couldn't work two jobs, right? I don't know...maybe I'm crazy....I just want something to work out, lol. That was way more than you needed to know....lol
Emily and I did find dresses for the wedding, by the way...and I'm so excited about it. I feel so honored to get to sing for this wedding because I just look up to the couple so much....I guess it just feels special :-)
Here are some more random thoughts....since that's how this entry is going...
~ love "The DaVinci Code" so far....I wanna finish it soon so that I can go and see the movie!
~ Just watched "X-Men" for the first time and plan on watching the second one this week in honor of the third one coming out on Friday.....everyone who told me that those movies were pretty good was right, I'm really enjoying them
~ I got the most wonderful random call from Tim Hache tonight, lol.....it was hilarious to say the least
~ signed up for Yoga and Pilates today :-D
~ Saw the FHS Variety Show last night and had a great time
~ my sister is awesome to hang out with
~ I took Cory home today and that was also wonderful - ate some good Chipotle and had a good chat
~ hung out with Jon, Chester, Amy, and Cory last night and had a great kick-off for the summer to come
~ had dinner with Cher and Heather and just wanted to re-iterate how much I love those girls....we could talk for hours
~ missing Hartt and everyone there...
~ had a good online chat with Adrienne that made me really happy, lol
~ I was telling Cory today.....TARA! I WANNA HANG OUT WITH YOU THIS SUMMER! LAURA, YOU TOO!! Call me :-) or I'll call you....I miss you girls
This entry is way too long, but before I finish, I forgot to tell those of you that didn't know....I'M GOING TO ITALY NEXT YEAR TO STUDY ABROAD!!! I'll be there over winter break after Christmas and I'll be learning about the development of theatre :-) I'm so excited!
