So, I'm home! It feels great and have enjoyed being lazy these past couple of days. All I've done is "spring-cleaned" my room and unpacked all of my stuff. I'm trying to make it more of a second home, ya know? Like, I'm not unpacking all of my stuff from school so that when it comes time to move back, I won't feel like I'm taking apart my room at home. That way, when I come home from breaks, it'll actually feel like a home and not an empty room. I don't know if that made any sense, but yea....lol. I've also been to the gym every day and I've spent lots of time with the family. Last night, my brother and I spent an hour watching Brokeback Mountain parodies on YouTube. Needless to say, it was hilarious. My favorites were "Brokeback to the Future" and "Star Wars: The Empire Brokeback." I also ran some errands yesterday and among those errands was the purchase of Grey's Anatomy: Season 1 and Julia Murney's solo album. Both were great purchases. I've already wasted away five hours on Grey's with the first 5 episodes, which were brilliant. And Julia's new CD is great - it's got this amazing song that was cut from "The WIld Party" and it's awesome. Anywho, today, after I shower, I'm gonna go to the gym and pick up some job applications.
This leads me to asking for some advice. These are the places I'm thinking about applying to and I want your honest opinions.
1) Starbucks - five minutes from my house, good atmosphere, eraly mornings (done working earlier in the day), and if I get hired there, then I can work at the one in Hartford because that's part of their deal - I wouldn't have to go through training and re-applying and stuff, I'd just transfer.
2) waitressing @ Champps (suggested by Heather because they're hiring) - this would get me some watiressing experience which is kind of important and I might be able to get some good tips because it's baseball season and it's sports bar right? I guess if there's another restaurant that you think might be a good place to work, feel free to suggest.
3) Old Navy - my brother could get me a job in two seconds, easy job, good hours, meh...
4) Borders Books and Music - just because I love that place and it'd probably be an enjoyable job
So, those are the choices - PLEASE give me your advice :-)
Let's see, I've got a lot coming up in the next couple of weeks. A wedding shower, and a wedding. Some final concerts to attend, visiting people at OSU....stuff like that. Which seems like a lot but it really isn't, lol. I don't really know what else I was going to update about except that I already miss everyone from school and have yet to see any of my good friends here in Fairfield.....I spose I should get on that ;-) I guess that's all for now. Have a good one!
