Her palm burned but she spared her knuckles. Her own cheek burned and she was certain it was scarlet from the slaps but thankfully she wasn’t the only one in that situation. She could punch her all the way back to Midgar if she wanted to. It wouldn’t help. There was little point in fighting properly when she could save her strength.
