Lightning did her best to quell it but the smile that burst forth at the sight in front of her was too strong.
There was her wife dressed in one of the spare capes Lightning had in the closet and striking a pose. Beside Tifa was their pride and joy, little Chell with her hands on her hips and a tiny miniature of Lightning's cape on her shoulders as well.
The door to the bedroom had been open when Lightning had gotten home and since she couldn't find Tifa or Chell anywhere, she had gone in which had led her to this moment.
Suddenly, Chell gave a gasp and turned around.
"Mama!"
Lightning was then placed in a tight hug as Tifa turned around as well, an embarrassed blush on her cheeks.
"We're superheroes mama, just like you!" Chell explained, her brown eyes twinkling as she looked up into Lightning's face. Lightning brushed a bit of Chell's pink hair that had fallen in front of her eyes and smiled.
"I can see that. What are your hero names?"
Lightning reminded herself to not pick on Snow too much, Chell having learned all her notions of heroism and bravery from her favorite Uncle at her last visit to Serah's house.
Chell looked stumped for a moment before grinning, the names coming to her.
"I'm the Mighty Princess and this is Power Mommy," Chell explained, gesturing to Tifa. "Now I think I hear some trouble so I'm gonna go save the day!" With a bound, Chell was out of the room and down the stairs.
"Power Mommy, eh?" Lightning asked as she went to place a soft kiss on TIfa's lips. "It suits you."
Tifa's blush deepened.
"How was work?"
"They let me off early. I wasn't feeling well."
"Is there anything you need?" Tifa asked, just about to order her wife to the bed so she could take care of her but Lightning shook her head.
"I took a test before I left HQ and...well..."
Lightning took Tifa's hand and placed it on her stomach.
Then it was Tifa's turn to hug Lightning as Chell wandered back into the room, a look of disgust on her face as she watched her mothers kissing.
Didn't they know about cooties?
