Now that I think about it, not a whole lot of FF games have a mage and monk in the list of main characters... Well there is Sabin and Terra/Celes! YAY!!!

Sabin + Terra and/or Celes are always in my party. xD Usually it's Edgar, Sabin, Celes, and Terra/Locke/Setzer/Relm, depending on my preference. Powah partay!

Pretty sure we're going to be getting Serah, since she's quite Red Magey, and there's always Amarant+Vivi?

Or Yang/Ursula+Rydia/Palom. Or Zell+Rinoa.

The characters are there, but most of them just don't interact with each other, lol.

... uh, is that part about Serah confirmed? D: D: If so, can we contest it? I don't think someone who gave up the chance to gain more knowledge in order to be with a man she's only known for a few months really seems very... black magey, all things considered. She can be off in the strange-jobs-from-strange-sequels corner? DX

Abilities-wise, she's a good fit, but I'll give her through XIII-2 to see if she grows personality-wise. Regardless, she'll be an unofficial representative at best, I would think. (I started to say that Rinoa's the same way, but then I remembered that Word of God says she's a bookworm, so...)

Yep! That's why you can always find her in Balamb Garden's library when she's not in your party. It's one of those traits that she technically has, according to her character design, but they didn't implement much in the game.

...Huh. I never got the impression she was particularly Black Mage, but then most of the VII/VIII characters don't strike me as particularly Black Mage. (Well, Edea does, but otherwise...)
