So, today page 85 was posted on the FF6c site, and we see Kefka for the first (non-flashback) time. When designing his costume, I tried to use aspects of the Amano illustrations (the poofy sleeve, the hip scarves- always with the hip scarves), the sprite (the use of red and green) and a picture of him from the FMV (makeup). While browsing the upholstery section of Minnesota Fabrics, I found this design whose palette really caught my eye. It was this deep rich blue that was paired with copper and antique gold accents.
