Harley Quinn kitty started having seizure episodes last Monday (Labor Day). We freaked out - really scary to see her go through that & there's nothing you can do - but did a bit of Internet research & decided to make a vet appointment on Tuesday rather than take her to the emergency vet. The short version of it is: 1) we're broke, 2) I lost my teaching position supposedly because of the Affordable Care Act, 3) lots of people staying with us this summer with more planned by the end of the year, 4) Mike has to have gallbladder surgery ASAP, 5) I need serious expensive dental work done.

As usual, I'm doing too much after surgery. I managed to wear myself out at work this week. As a result, I have come home early the last few days because I've been in pain at work. Today is my first official full day back at work after surgery last week. I came back Friday afternoon to teach my class & lab because A) I don't get paid if I cancel the class and B) it's really really hard to make up those chapters without throwing off the entire schedule for the semester.
