So I'm gonna try to post some sort of form so it'll be easier for me to update myself and LJ with my exercise and food progress.
Today - Aug 12 Wednesday
Jogged the ENTIRE forward loop + brisk walk cool down 4-5 minutes (3.1 mi total)
Did Strength Rotuine (completed butt, leg and abs, am able to do roughly 3/8 reps of the upper body work out- PROGRESS!)
Monday - Jogged/walked 3.1 miles (80% jogged) backward loop
Tuesday - Jogged/walked 3.1 miles (90%) forward looped
[x] Jog/Run at least 3x a week (M, T, W)
[ ] Do strength routine at least 2x a week
[x] Have a treat day (W)
Goals: Jog Al's forward loop the entire way (~3.1 miles) (ACHIEVED! WOO HOO!) Avg time: 37 so far (best time: 30)
Jog Al's backward loop the entire way (~3.1 miles)
Jog up the hills back home the entire way (~2.1 miles - I'm trying to get a new route to extend it)
Be able to do 8 reps of the side plank, toe taps and X-reach each
Okay, so it's a rough form. @_@ God I wish I knew how to use LJ better. All my computer skills (or lack there of) are completely useless! WAAAAH.
But TODAY, I WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE ONE OF MY GOALS. I WAS ABLE TO JOG THE ENTIRE WAY OF AL'S FORWARD LOOP. WOOOOOO! While it was slow going, as I've been out of touch for a while, it's still not as good as my best time of around 30 minutes.
I don't tend to change my routes because I want to get faster and faster. I know I'm a wuss, but I'm not starting with interval training yet, just the usual steady jog. Now that I know I can go a steady jog, I'll try to get my times faster with my running. However, I hate how there's all this, "OMG don't get into a routine and get stuck there for too long" cause what the hell am I supposed to do about cardio? I know your body gets smart and all, but running is pretty much my only cardio as I don't have any money nor do I have any elliptical machines (yes I know I have the treadmill at home, but it's not mine to use, and it's much more productive IMO to run outside now) and the one at al's house is... well I don't know how to operate it.
I don't know how to swim and I don't have a bike. D:
So running is my sole cardio workout.
As for strength, once I'm able to do the upper body exercises, I'll switch it up in a month or so. I really want to lose weight again and keep it that way. Gah and I eat more unhealthy now. So bad.
I'll try to do better.
Today, I ran for 3 miles and I cool down by walking briskly to finish my jog home. It took me a total of 37 minutes. Not too bad. I want to try doing the 10 minute mile, (cause it takes me 3-5 minutes to cool down, briskly walking the last few minutes home to finish up) and get faster and faster and do interval training.
@_@ As for diet, XD I eat cereal + milk for breakfast, ate a banana and drank lots of water after running, then ate at Chilis and ate some fries and 1/4 of my burger, then went home, napped, and ate spaghetti. @-@ And a fudsicle.
I'm no longer counting calories as much, as it's really such a pain.
