So I thought we had some problems around the TVXQ fandom? Nope. Not really. I've been reading various 2pm posts today, mostly because of a friend I have on fb who is very upset. She keeps posting about it and I wanted to see just what got her so worked up. And really, I still don't understand. I'll admit right now I was never invested in 2pm. I watched some of their shows, listened to the music, but you couldn't really call me a fan. So I don't have as much in it as everyone else. If this were happening to my group, I don't know what I would think. That said-
I honestly don't know why everyone is so surprised upset that Jaebom isn't coming back. I've read reports that a comeback for him was planned, but honestly, I figured once he was gone he was gone. I didn't see the sense in it, but with the way it was handled I didn't see much coming out of it, especially with 2pm continuing activities. And now, I have to say that 2pm's fans are almost disgusting me. I can see where they're coming from with members turning their back on Jaebom. Kind of. But really, none of us know what happened. None of us know if there is more to the story. With any group, sometimes there's something you do that makes everyone never look at you the same again. And you have to remember, for a mistake that Jaebom made (or so they have said), all of the members might have fallen. It's a lot of self-preservation in there too. Because how hard have they worked? I myself would not want to be dragged down by someone else's actions.
So maybe the press conference was scripted. I'm almost certain to a degree it was. I know and I have a feel of how things like this are handled from how my school handled problems with teachers that were fired or left before me. And even from what they said to me when I left. So I can't express it in words but I feel like I have some understand of what is going on with the members and how everything was handled.
And that post doesn't say much, but it's mostly to say that I don't understand these fans. I don't understand how they can give up so completely. In a sense I think it is being so blinded by your love for one person or your hate for a company that you see no other solutions. And maybe that is the real point of my post. I'm tired of hearing mindless statements of hate for entertainment companies. I don't agree with everything they do and I don't agree with the way everything is handled. I think a change in the system would be a good thing. But I don't know what that change would entail. I am not familiar enough with the practices and what a company and its artists needs to know that. So I will say I don't agree, but I will not mindlessly say I hate everything about a company and a person when in all truth, I barely know anything about it.
