Okay so here's what I'm going to do. Or try. I'm going to post a few different categories and rec you something. In return, I'd love for you to also rec me something. As a way for us all to try something new ^^ And treat it as a meme, so feel free to go post your recs on your own journal. Just leave me a link here so I can find them easy later ^_^

I found her through an AMV to one of her songs. (I find the best singers through AMVs it seems ^^) Finally got to buy one of her cds in Korea where it was so much cheaper than the Japanese version. And she's Italian-Japanese, speaks English and I think writes all her own stuff. So she's pretty awesome.

My Spanish teacher introduced me to him senior year and we sang some of his songs for our international festival. I don't have much of his music unfortunately since I lost the cd she let me burn, but I still love him. (She did as well. She went around our class of ten showing his picture and asking didn't he look good? XD.

Camisa Negra
Para Tu Amor 'For Your Love' Live and it's one of his slower songs. He is rather awesome.

I discovered them through a music sharing comm when the mod recc'ed them because of their voice. And they really can sing. A Japanese girl group that can sing, imagine that. sorry, should keep that to myself. I'm just happy to see a girl group that can sing and doesn't survive off cuteness and short skirts.
I'll be there One of my favorite songs by them. I happen to love singing to it in the car. ^^
ソライロ'Sky Color' which took me a while to figure out because they were tricky and used katakana so I was thinking it was an English word
Movie:
Interpreter Recc'ing this makes me want to watch it again. It's centered around a translator working for the UN who heard something she wasn't supposed to hear. One of my favorites.
The Day After Tomorrow Watched this when my cousin brought it over back in high school and said the special effects were awesome. He was right and it has been one of my favorites since then. Just ignore the freaky, horribly fake wolves. I don't know how they had such great effects for the whole movie and such horribly fake wolves. Oh and Emmy Rossum is in it. And I like her ^^.
Book:
Mortal Instruments Trilogy I don't know if any of you know, but this is written by Cassandra Clare, who used to write HP fic over at FA. I picked it up and read the first one on the plane to St. Louis and then read the other two soon after. I loved the series and in particular Magnus and Alec. I've read a bunch of controversy about her as an author and re-using scenes and all that stuff, but I could really care less. I never read her fic. I liked the books and enjoyed reading them.
Fic: No, you won't find any TVXQ around here. The point is to rec you something new. And if you like any of these, believe me, I have more where they come from. Oh and don't let the ffn.net addresses scare you off; these are some of the (relatively) few good fics up there.

But a group. *Pnish* Made up of: Daiki-red (can act so silly, but he's Leader and he also arranges everything for them) Moriyama-blue (fuku-leader who has the most awesome relationship with Daiki-yes you can easily slash them) Tuti-yellow (you kind of get used to his abrasive personality) and Wasshi-green (who can easily fade into the background but should not be forgotten)They're actors/dancers and act either in their own stuff or other things (Tenimyu, Burimyu, other things I can't remember). They're really quite awesome and dorky.

Michael A Stackpole He has written for Star Wars as well as his own stuff and I love both. His Dragoncrown War Cycle is one of my favorites. This is a link to the prequel, which you really do have to read first to understand everything that happens in the series (which start 15 or so years later)
