opening night

As some of you know - since some of you were there - yesterday evening was my daughter's opening night in The Tempest. I wish there were words to describe just how proud I am of her, and how astounded I was. I don't know where she gets this talent of her - certainly not from either side of our family, that's for sure

Oh, god, wasn't she? I think I was in tears throughout the entire show.

She was so poised and graceful. I named her well.

Oh, good. It was so nice if a little awkward going out with everyone before the show.

Well of course I don't stand in the front of the mirror and gaze at my own eyes.

We should. Quite a large party though.

Don't forget Clark. And likely Grace's new...squeeze. Quite a looker, that one.

Well, we'll see if all our schedules ever coordinate again.

Perry's just being as overprotective as Jonathan would be. I think Gracie secretly finds it comforting.

Someone has to do it. And anyway, I think Perry's warming up to him a little.

Stress? Me? Please, I don't stress.

Well, daughters are different. They're harder. Perry had a son, so...he's been learning.

I couldn't care less, because it's true. I'm not saying daughters are better, of course not, they're just different. If you have a daughter, you understand.
