Choo-choo! Oh soap! It's another dump!
Here is just some of my versions of Spider-Man villains. They're not as cool as the Batmen villains, but I like some of them okay. There's no art deco sort of gimmick to them, just the sort of stuff I'd do with them. Also, Hancock.
Sometimes when you have to draw and nothing is coming out you just try to keep drawing anyways. Like maybe running the water will unclog the pipes somehow instead of just making a mess. This is the mess.
Ah, HERE we go! Much better. I'll tell you the secret to drawing Rex Splode and making him look COOL: Spider-Man poses. That's it. The guy holding the bomb in the bottom is maybe my favorite thing. He is like a kooky Rex Splode I guess.
More working out poses and stuff. The head in the bottom right corner looks like my brother--ON ACCIDENTAL! Weird when that sort of thing happens. He's always got hair in his eyes and his eyes half closed. Its like his "thing."
Some more Spider-Man guys and some stuff for... something.
Now that I'm done with the Invincible stuff, I have the time to do work for mc chris again! So here are some sketches from what I've done. Just some warming/loosening up, a Jon Lovitz, and reteaching myself how to draw the mc character.
Here I gave some ideas for poses, all the direction I was given was mc chris dressed as the devil like Jon Lovitz on Saturday Night Live, so I wasn't sure where to take it after that. Also there is Greta, a secret character of mine whose comic I hope to someday make, that I am sure I have partially misremembered here. Sometimes happens with old characters when you haven't seen what they're supposed to look like in a while, but are too lazy to dig the drawings up.
So now that had the character down to my satisfaction, I worked on my other idea, which was for a demonic seal kind of logo resembling the Seal of Solomon, or any of the other old symbols from grimoires. This took some time, since I had to look up a ton of stuff and cherry pick what I liked out of it. Also, the devils along the right side are copied and then inspired by
http://korintic.deviantart.com/ He is totally awesome at drawing and coloring and I cannot ever tire of looking at his work. I recommend it. He's even got a Hector piece at the beginning of his gallery!
Here are the finished illustrations, with the seal unobscured by the figure.
Here are some more sketches for another illustration. I pretty quickly designed a wolfman mc, even though you don't see all of him in the drawing, just in case I'd need him later. I really wanted to have the Lon Chaney Jr. nasolabial fold but had to abandon it as it wasn't conducive to the shape of his head.
Here's the resulting lineart...
and the final colors! And in case you're living under a rock like I was, apparently this shirt from Wal-Mart has become like Crocs for your chest. So that's the joke.
Here is a guy I want to do like a 5 page story with. He is like a noir detective! I mostly want to do the story to experiment with some style and techniques, take it for a test drive! Broooo broooo
OKAY ONE MORE.
Here's a commission I did for Chris Haley that I have owed him for some time (eep!). I tried not to overdo it but I was having fun. He asked for Superman riding Devil Dinosaur, but look what I did because I'm WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKYYYYYY.
