2007 V6 RAV-4 - had partial engine replacement in December, due to Firestone putting a defective oil filter on the vehicle. Anyway, since then, my coolant has been "disappearing", about an inch a week. Where is it going - who knows. I don't notice any coolant on the ground. Took it to the dealer and they found nothing (user error they said grrr). They filled it to where it should be, 3 days ago. Guess what? Already lost about 1/2 an inch of coolant (probably about 50 mL).

Also, the last 2 tanks of gas, I got sucky mpg. With the first one, I just figured it was bad gas. But when it's happened 2 tanks in a row, which I got from two different stations and two different brands, I think it's an issue.

Other helpful info - no white smoke seen from either the engine or the exhaust, no weird smells either. I checked the oil today and it looks like oil in color, composition, and smells like oil, so I don't think coolant is mixing with oil (like in a blown head gasket). I would also hope that that would have been something that the shop also checked.

Any mechanics out there want to give this a shot?
