I have a day off!!
WOw. I don't think I've been this excited for a Saturday in a long time. And nothing's even HAPPENING tomorrow. Which is exactly why I'm so happy. The showroom that I'm doing right now is intensely time-consuming and I haven't had time to go grocery shopping or keep my room from getting very very messy or even do laundry. Which is probably more information then you guys needed to know, but hey. If everyone worked on a need to know basis, life would be very dull. (That felt very insightful)For example, you would not know that for dinner last night I had my last bit of cereal, a banana and a yoghurt. Because that was all the food I had. :P
This whole doing my own groceries thing takes a bit of thinking ahead.
Yet somehow I still have time to watch Friends with the girls here. One of them (brittany, from BC) has a LOT of friends episodes on dvd and we watch them on the laptop at night. I never really watched Friends while it was running, so it took me by surprise and I'm very badly addicted to it. We're in the middle of the eighth season :P

it totally made my day when I got it (my mom delivered it to me on my birthday, and i'm so on top of things i'm thanking you all only a week and a half late). And made me sad because you're all so far away, but I'm so excited to see you all again and hear the stories... :)
I just got facebook for the hell of it. Ok, because I wanted to track down some people from camp. But then one girl accepted me as a friend and I was reading her quotes and comments etc and found out that she and a whole bunch of the girls I had been hanging out with at camp really didn't like me and had been making fun of me behind my back the whole month I was there. Not a very fun feeling.
I'm feeling a bit ...adrift...here. Or maybe aimless is a better word. It's like my life is sort of on hold while I do this...
Now I'm getting to the part I always reach with livejournal when I have to remind myself it's not actually a journal, but a post other people are going to read :P
I put my ipod on shuffle while I wrote this and now a 'learn to speak spanish' cd is playing in my ears. NOT helpful, this being Italy. My Italian is really coming along though.
ok, not really. It's kind of reached a plateau of basic knowledge and isn't really improving anymore.
I think what I miss the most is being able to talk to all of you. As in, real people talk, not emails and phones (don't get any ideas, I'm not telephoning ANYBODY). Everybody at home that I hang out with is so much more on my wavelength than the models here.
Just for fun, these are my roomies:
Brittany: from Victoria, BC, very sweet, 19, she's like my mom here. She has Friends dvds. which makes her pretty much my saviour. the show is so brainless yet SO addictive!
Carlee: from Salt Spring, BC. Also known as NOT POOR. she's nice enough, but i feel like I should relate to her more than I do because we're the same age. SHe's a crazy party girl however, and I'm slightly more...how do I put this?... controlled. :P
Diana: From Latvia. blond. just her hair. she's like 20 or something... nice. she loves watching dvds on the laptop too, so we get along.
Alona: From Latvia too. She's strangely quiet, in that russian trend of not volunteering any information unless expressly asked. black hair.
Alona #2 was my roomie until today, from Isreal, but she's moved out now.
I'll probably just talk to everybody about my adventures when I get back,instead of writing things down here.
I'm going to the 'market' tomorrow, which is actually just this place where you can get really cheap stuff. Not that I have any room in my suitcases anymore as is
Maybe I'll buy a suitcase
But see the stupid thing is I'm limited to two packed suitcases, one carry on and one purse
AS IF?
I guess I'll deal with that when I pack. Maybe I'll leave my math textbook here :)
