Soooo, I've been training at URI for the past five days. It's pretty fun, but parts of it can be extremely boring. Right now I have almost 3 hours in break time, which is very rare. I'm meeting so many amazing people, but I honestly cannot wait until the day when all of the boring lectures end. We've had a bunch of them today, and in BISC Auditorium, so I'm sure some of you can only imagine how comfortable/interesting that was.

Heathman C and D Towers have been renovated and I hear that they're beautiful. I haven't seen them yet, but I'm so excited for the RAs that are moving in there. Two of the Heathman RAs were in my RA Camp group. RA Camp was what took place the first three days and two nights I was here. All of the newbie (and mid-year hire) RAs moved into Barlow Hall for three days of intense training. The cool part was, though, that we get paid both this week and next week for a forty hour week ($11ish an hour)... and those two checks do not apply to the room and board money that we get over the course of the year. So, needless to say, lil Stephie will be getting two $400 checks as an extra treat and she will be spending them wisely. Yay :-D

Time for pictures now. Here's my dorm room. The first picture was taken from the doorway, and the second was taken on my bed. It's tight quarters in here, but I've made the best of the situation. I actually love it, because it's so home-like and comfortable in here.

And last night, I slept in Michelle's room (one of the other RAs in Tucker) because we were both freaked out by our GA (hall director, basically) after he told us stories about haunted places in RI and in other parts of the US. We were even shower buddies, and showered in the same bathroom... it was actually the male bathroom because that's the one closest to Michelle's room and there aren't any residents living here yet, so it's allowed. Although, the showers semi-reeked of man BO, which was gross. But, it's better than being scared, right?
