No Underway, YAY!
So, yea... I haven't updated in a little bit so I figured I would. I remembered that Matt said that he'd look at the journal ever so often so I figured that if he didn't get a chance to E-mail me or call me that he could just peek at my journal and find a little new news about what's going on in this stupid life of crappity excellence. I'm tired, it's my duty day, and the only reason why I'm really putting this up is that I'm not tired enough to go to sleep *shrug*
So we decided not to get underway today, well it really wasn't a decision, per say, it was more like the fact taht we didn't have something that was ordered. That means that we run our drills during the day and night and see if we can pass them that way. This is one of the many other certifications that we need to be surge ready, bleh. It's really funny, though, because if the cert doesn't get passed the first time it just keeps on going over and over until it is passed. Thus is the way the Navy works, if you're not successful the first time they'll just drill you into the ground more until, through some miracle, you're able to burst through all the shit that's shovelled over you and get it done... Or something like that.
Alex is still getting underway tomorrow, though, and he has duty so we don't get to see each other until Friday. He called me earlier before the drills went down and I wasn't able to call him back, I don't like it when that happens... I just called and left a voice message, but he still hasn't called me back, but since I have watch in the morning before I go up I'll leave a little message on his phone that he'll hopefully get before going out to see.
Nate turned 21 over the weekend and did something completely stupid yesterday. Apparently he drank too much for his own good and when he came back to the ship at 3 am this morning he woke up a few people in the other berthing and pissed off more than a few people. I don't think we're going to... Bleh, I have to go to the quarterdeck because of some stupid bullshit... I might be back later to finish this up, but I doubt it because I'm starting to get a headache...
