Obama, Obama... Where For Art Thou Obama?
Where's the Obama that I've known for the past 10 years? What with picking that tireless slave to Israeli relations councils, Rahm Emanuel... and with vetting Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State... I am beginning to wonder if he was just a charlatan, as many have suspected throughout this campaign season.
For someone who touts "change" as his big platform, picking Rahm and now possibly Clinton for his cabinet... and on top of all that giving serious consideration to retaining Gates at head of the Pentagon... I am beginning to wonder. I was hoping for people who are all about, for lack of a better way of putting it, revolution... in the US government. People like Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinich, Jesse Ventura, Ron Paul (despite my distaste for his abortion rights stance), Bill Richardson, and Al Franken... hell, I think Bill Maher would make a damned fine Chief of Staff... he knows how to get people of different backgrounds together and really hash out the issues in an open forum... and that is a very important quality in a Chief of Staff, IMO.
I just have to say... I am disappointed in Obama thus far, poor choices... more of the same, so far. I'll obviously wait for his policies to begin taking root and so forth, but I am not going to be too hopeful, given what we've seen thus far.
