So yes. Its been almost a year since ive posted in this thing. Ive decided I once again have a whole lot of nothing to say. Actually, I do have some things to start. Within the past year, I did end up joining the military. what a mistake that was. I wouldnt mind being in the military if I had made it through my journalism school. When I enlisted I didnt know it was considered the second hardest program in the military. I would go to class for 8 hours a day, then go and study for another 8 hours or more. I was getting 3-5 hours of sleep a night for about 2 months (until i failed out). My mind and body eventually just got to the breaking point. I had to STRUGGLE to stay awake in class and focus. One more month and I would have at least gotten my military job. If i passed the broadcasting portion after the writing/public affairs/photography/graphic design portion of the class (the part i was in), i would have earned 15 college credits as well. Now im a fucking janitor (that dropped 70 dollars last night it seems, grr)Its not hard work, i mean, its just a job at this point; nothing special. I joined the military to do something special in my life for the next 5 years. At least I still have my GI bill and ill get to travel. Im thinking of reclassing as a Hull Technician that specializes in welding. Im currently living in Jacksonville, Florida (which is beautiful), only problem I have with this place is that there is no electro scene in this part of Florida. All the techno and industrial clubs/parties are in southern Florida.....Aside from that, about 2 months ago i got a large tribal tattoo that took 7? hours to complete across my chest. Triangles that form the shape of a large bite. Bite me ;)
Saving money to go home/get more tats as well....i want to get a spiral covering my stomach as my next tat (skitzos are obsesses with spirals, did you know?)and a black outline of my spine running down my spine. I go on a 6 month deployment at in October. Only place were going to at this point thats official is Panama..so that means i wont be home for national consumerism day or stuff the turkey with my schlong day....
Im on the verge of beating Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater... ive never played any of the other MGS games, but the bosses remind me of enemies from Ninja Scroll....currently reading Zodiac by Neal Stephenson...Its good thus far. I also recently purchased the Robotech box set....im still only on the first disc, so i have a long way to go to get through the protoculture collection.
