HPPS: The Potions Master
The chapter in which we learn that the the first thing you need to know about Hogwarts is that the castle itself is trying to drive you insane, if not seriously maim or even kill you. This could easily be tipped into one of those horror stories about a sentient house going all out to do away with its occupants.
And there is Snape and potions (the magic subject that most appeals to me). My favourite character. He's not nice, he's a crap teacher, he's spiteful as hell, but he is interesting. And Hargid knows something about it all that he's not telling...

- 'An as for that cat, Mrs Norris, I'd like ter introduce her to Fang sometime.' --does fur fly or are they the ultimate Hogwarts odd couple?
