My Star Wars thoughts
Finally got to see Episode 3 tonight. Nearly went yesterday, we went by to harass driftpeasant there. Was neat to see all the lightsabers there and costumes, mostly sadly slapped together, but still fun. Man, I miss that element. Almost sorry I didn't go then, but at least I got to see a bit of the crowd.
There were supposed to be three of us going tonight but that didn't happen. Seems everybody else either already saw it or had plans to later. *Sigh* Ah well. But I got to go with Heero, that's what counted. Now as for the second viewing, well we'll see ^.-
I'm happy, I think. Best of the three. Of course one could argue that wasn't hard. But one universal truth prevailed: Anakin is a little bitch. Course we knew that. But killing the younglings? Yeah, great father he'll make. Guess it's no surprise that he later tortures his daughter, blows up her home planet, cuts off his son's hand and generally makes everybody miserable for a long time. Poor Padme, I could have sworn she lived longer. I guess Leia has super minutes old baby memories of her or something. Of course if anyone, Bail Organa could tell her about her mother and maybe find her a holo of her. But it's not the same. Still she has it better than Luke in that regard. He never hears anything about his mother ever. I wonder if his adopted parents are even sure who she was. They can assume, but do they really know? It's a moot point anyway since any discussion of his father is a very sore subject at best. But at least he got to hear something. I love the actual relation tho. I can see it now.
"So Uncle Owen, your dad married my grandmother when you and my dad were like teens or something. So... we're not actually related at all."
"That's right boy, now go do your chores."
"You can't tell me what to do, you're not even my real uncle!"
"You're a whiny bitch just like your daddy."
Heehee. Sorry, Luke, you know I love ya, but it was a funny picture. Dang, I'm going to be apologizing in my head for a while now. But yay! Baby Luke and Leia! Sooo cuuuuuute! I just want to cuddle them! Hope you enjoyed your time in the womb together, cause that's the most time you'll be spending together until you grow up. But I gotta say the best part of the whole movie is that little padawan that showed up out of nowhere when Bail Organa returned to Coruscant. You rock, little guy. This goes out to you.
