Back from a sunny October holiday. The days just flew by!
Games played:
- Battlestar with both expansions: my fellow cylon blew up the Colonial One I was currently on, pretending to do politics. Ouch!
- Thunderstone: fun deckbuilding game with everchanging dungeons and equipment.
- Ascension: if you have a smartphone, buy this game. Perfect for otherwise lost moments.
- Magic booster draft: blast from the past with werewolves and vampires.
- Dixit: association game where you guess at your friends' logic. Truly the surprise game of the week: Looks very simple, but is a lot of fun!
Roleplayed:
- A ghost who'd escaped the netherworld through a summoning ritual gone wrong, in Jod's experimental game.
- The meat department employee of a supermarket, in Adam's Army of Darkness silliness.
- A farmer/engineer from the outskirts, in Pim's Firefly jail break adventure.
- And ran an emotial Engel oneshot, featuring dreamseed, death, and corruption.
Combine this with nerf gun fights, a mysterious haunted house game (by Bekka and Jod) and home made cooking, and you have a perfect holiday. Looking forward to next year's Week!
