Today's
fannish5 is "Five fictional beverages you wish you could try." Most of the fictional drinks I'm familiar with are alcoholic (I'm looking at you, Star Trek, with all your alien booze) but alcohol rarely attracts me. This was a little difficult as a result, but not impossible!
1. Butterbeer, Harry Potter. I know the "real" stuff would taste better than the recipes that you find online. And also: magic.
2. Pumpkin juice, Harry Potter. Well, they make it sound refreshing in the books? I probably wouldn't try to juice an actual pumpkin, though.
3. Ambrosia, Greek mythology. In Xena ambrosia is sort of like jell-o, but I think it was a drink in the actual myths.
4. Raktajino, Star Trek. Considering that the other well-known Klingon drink is BLOOD WINE, I imagine that their coffee is pretty intense.
5. Fizzy lifting drink, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Dude. I want to fly (even if it's really just floating).
