(no subject)
So my birthday was yesterday, and I spent of most the day forgetting that fact and then remembering again. My classes were fairly dull; We spent ALL TWO HOURS of ASL chatting, which was surprisingly uninteresting, and then the lecture in Language and Communication was ... rambling.
When I got home we had Chinese takeout for dinner with strawberry flan for dessert. That's the tastiest birthday meal I've had in years :-D
We got our World Vision gift catalogue in the mail yesterday. We like to do the "a donation has been made in your name" thing for my grandparents and aunts and uncles, usually paying for a farm animal or some school supplies.
The gifts start at $30 dollars, which you have to admit is quite reasonable, and go to the couple hundred dollar range. A few a more expensive, but one is fifteen thousand dollars :-O I'd hope that if you had that kind of money to donate it wouldn't take a catalogue in the mail to prompt you, but you never know! It's certainly out of our range, anyway.
