Note: For all you Americans out there who didn't watch this on their computers this is series two which means it hasn't been on our tv screens yet. So be aware. This is your last warning.

It had taken them nearly a year to find her and bring her back. When they did bring her back they weren’t exactly sure what they brought her back as. It wasn’t a ghost, she had a solid form. It wasn’t anything they had ever seen before. Mitchell called her unique and Annie seemed to like that.

She seemed to like a lot of things, especially being seen. It scared her though, not knowing what she was. When she was a ghost she at least knew….now she feared some deep dark…thing would take control of her. However beside the fact that she had an incredible appetite (not being able to eat for over a year would do that to a girl) there was nothing that seemed to be wrong with her. She wasn’t dead anymore that’s all they knew, but she wasn’t exactly alive either, more like….alive-ish.

They had all almost hoped that getting Annie back would fix things for them again, that the pain they were feeling would go away but even months later nothing had changed. Nina was able to excuse their behavior, their fear of living while they were searching out a way to bring Annie back but now they had her, and they still weren’t quite alive.

They were more…alive-ish.

Nina had found a new job at a new hospital in a new town, George and Mitchell had followed her. She had hoped for awhile that things would get back to normal, or at least their unique definition of normal, but that never happened. They worked because they needed the money. They didn’t socialize with humans like they had before. They didn’t even try to be human anymore.

Nina realized that she didn’t try so hard either.

George and she fought a lot, but it always ended in the same way. The night before the full moon they would have a knock down dragged out fight and end up having what she called wolfsex. Then they would change and the cycle would begin again.

And again,

And again.

They were all stuck in a pattern, they weren’t dead but they weren’t exactly living either. They were more like alive-ish.
