"This is always a bad idea." Tess never says this before the sex, of course. She always waits until after, when they've slept the night through, and the alarm has already been smacked into submission.
"Of course it is." Fucking your partner is the sort of thing they teach you not to do in police academy. Doesn't make it any easier to resist. Especially when you're both dedicated to the job, hard-up, and swearing off men.
