"Shamrock earrings?" Piper asked in surprise.

"They're for luck," Prue exclaimed, fingering the shiny, green earrings.

Piper shook her head. Beaming up at her older sister, she told her, "You don't need luck. You're going to win."

"What makes you so sure?" Prue questioned, though it warmed her heart to know that her sister possessed such confidence in her.

"Easy," Piper answered. "You're the most beautiful one."

"Girls, it's time to go."

"Thanks." Prue brushed over a kiss over Piper's cheek as she rushed after their grandmother.

Piper's fingers hovered just above where Prue's lips had touched her flesh. She burned with a warmth that filled her from the top of her head throughout the ends of her toes. It was a feeling of pleasure far beyond anything the young girl had ever known.

She beamed as she chased after Prue. She'd promised herself that she would never tell her or any one else how she truly felt about her, but Piper knew that Prue would win all the beauty contests she ever entered for she was the most beautiful girl in the whole, wide world and could easily steal any one else's heart as deeply and thoroughly as she had Piper's.

The End
