The moon hung full and heavy behind the branches that stretched out from the forest beyond the castle walls. It’s orange hue cast eerie shadows across the frost bitten roofs of the city. Stars began to wink into existence. First one, then a dozen until the lit up what little sky the moon didn’t contain. Something sinister crept across Morgana’s skin, raising bumps along her arms. Stories of spirits rang deep within the blood stained fields that were withering in the distance.
Winter was coming.
With it would come illness and disease as people were forced to stay indoors.
