No, it wasn’t Tara. This wasn’t her world. This wasn’t her life. This was all a trick of The First. But as her knees gave out and she looked up at the distorted face of her lover she thought, one brief little thought, that it’d be so much easier to believe the lie.
The vampire dragged Willow to her feet and leaned in. Her eyes widened in realization just a second before she was dust on the floor, leaving behind Willow. Cheeks red and stained with tears, stake in her hand, reminding herself it was all a bunch of lies.
