Tamika shook her head. "Because you're not a Gopher."
"But what's wrong with me?" Tangela tried to keep the whining edge out of her voice, but it didn't work.
"Absolutely nothing, Tangie. Half the people who came out here don't care about the WNBA, just their girls. Don't worry, though. I love ya." Tamika smiled. "Need a ride home?"
The name was achingly familiar, and it *was* the first act of kindness Tangela'd known in Minnesota…
The second came a few hours later, at Tamika's. So did Tangela.
