B’Elanna sighed heavily. She was half klingon for pities sake. She met problems head on with an attitude and a batleth. She didn’t talk about feelings, though it was looking more like she’d be forced to and all because of one petite, stubborn, red haired Captain who wouldn’t take ‘I’m fine’ as an answer.
Who pushed and prodded until B’Elanna’s temper snapped and she gave the answer by slamming the smaller woman against the wall and capturing her mouth with her own.
Finally she released the woman who looked dazed and more than a little confused.
“Oh. Now I see.”
Confusion Janeway POV

Kathryn Janeway was stunned. Not a feeling she enjoyed or experienced usually. She was a Starfleet Captain damn it. Things didn’t surprise and confuse Captains it was not in the job description. Admittedly she’d been expecting something a more mundane explanation for B’Elanna’s erratic behaviour.
The kiss though made her face up to feelings she forced into hiding as she threw herself into the mission to get her crew home. The Kathryn who laughed, loved and explored was so far buried she was almost lost for good.
And now this new possibility, the temptation was overwhelming. It was crunch time.
