It is the first week of April, a bit early for the roses to start blooming again, but there they are, filling the field with an assortment of colors, their scent permeating the air.
Kira folds her arms behind her head as she lies in a thicket of grass not populated by roses, gazing up at the sky. The wispy clouds move slowly, barely a breeze to move them along faster.
Charlotte is nearby, picking the fresh flowers, but knowing her, Kira had no doubt she was only picking the red ones; her favorite color. Kira can hear her humming.
