Summary: The Death Eaters hadn't touched Hermione's room.
The bedroom had been left untouched.
Hermione paused in the doorway, attempting to quell the inevitable memories. Behind her, Ginny leaned forward and whispered “curses?” into her ear.
Hermione shook her head, eyes scanning the past. Somehow, They’d skipped her room.
There was her childhood bed, still perfectly made. Her bookcase, magic and muggle books ordered on different shelves. The furniture had remained in good condition, despite being tinged grey from the years. Even the red alarm clock still worked, daringly breaking the silence.
Ginny walked across the room, her fingers trailing along the wooden desk.
“Your room, huh?”
Hermione shrugged and turned away. Spotting tears, Ginny clutched her friend’s hand and pulled sharply. They both tumbled upon the bed, and Ginny leaned over, managing one kiss before coughing violently.
“Sorry.” Hermione righted herself. “Anti-boy ch-,” she coughed, catching her words a moment too late. “It’s just the bloody dust.”
