There's a certain tone Kara's voice gets when she is just this side of horny. Sharp and full of "I'd be happier if you were naked" undertones. It does thing to Sam's insides that are indecent.
No one else can hear it.
Sam's checked, because it's kind of embarrassing how easy it is for Kara to use that tone and five minutes later, she's half-naked and already biting her lip so as not to get caught by anyone walking by the disused supply room.
Dee had just given her a baffled look when she'd asked the comm officer about it.
"No, sir, I don't know what you're talking about."
Helo told her, when he was drunk and laughing (and not thinking about Sharon), that Kara used to sound like that off-duty. In bars on Caprica. And then she'd start a fight, if there wasn't anyone worth frakking.
Pinned against a wall, Kara's fingers sliding in and out of her, she wonders if it's a compliment. Kara could be frakking anyone else, but she chooses her. Could be fighting anyone else, too. And maybe it's just that Sam's the best option out of the lot of them, and fighting the people who watch your back in combat is a bad idea.
Then there isn't any thought left because Kara's mouth is just below her ear, soft whispers taunting, fingers slowly dragging out the sensation until she's ready to scream.
Screaming would be noticed. Swearing and biting her tongue isn't.
