That's it, I'm building a snow fort.

Jan 27, 2011 10:01

There is officially a metric fuckton of snow outside. Which means a snow day for me, but only because they made everyone come in last Friday through a snowstorm (and by everyone, I mean we lowly peons since most of the managers and senior staff "worked from home" *rolls eyes*), and I think they realized the need to keep the serfs from gathering our pitchforks.

So yay for a day off, but pffft for the even more massive piles of snow that I have climb over to reach the bus stop every morning. We've already had nearly five feet of snow so far--a good three to four feet of which is still lining my street, ugh, melt already, will you--and our snow season stretches into March and sometimes April. It seems pretty obvious that we're stuck with these wretched piles of dirty snow until then. Meh. Winter can vamoose now, please. And it's not even February, which is really the Worst Month of the Year around here. /0\

You know, really, I am so over the beauty and wonder of snow.

Even if it does wrangle me a day that can be spent curled up in bed with new yarn to knit with, a stack of books waiting to be sifted through and the Lewis series three DVDs my sister bought me for Christmas....

Hm...

YAY, SNOW. \0/

P.S. This is my new favourite gif.

Oh, Tom, you dork. <3
