Happy (Belated) Birthday! I feel like your gift to us is the terrific hp_dungeons action of late.

Damn, you are cursed. Of all the Apples I have owned over the last 20 years or so, this iMac is the only one that ever needed repair. After two years, we upgraded to Leopard, blew the logic board and Apple paid for the replacement. Maybe you should sacrifice some chickens or virgins or maybe fruit to Steve Jobs.

Damn. You know, at this point I would hit the Apple store screaming "This thing is a lemon and I want it replaced with a new one, free of charge." Because this is getting a bit ridiculous, you just bought it last year.

Happy Belated Birthday, hon. I'm so sorry I missed it.

And that sucks about your laptop, I'm glad Apple is willing to work with you on it.

As if you need me to tell you this, but... don't leave the Genius Bar without a NEW computer. Seriously. I had an iBook and after the third time dying, I insisted on a new one. Well, four years ago we didn't have an Apple store here so it was all done via overnight courier, but the point is: it's a lemon, they owe you a new one. You'll probably have to suffer a slightly faster processor or something (such a shame ;-) But really, it's clearly been cursed. I do hope Severus was backed up recently, but I'm sure with his habit of dying early, often and always, you've been backing up early, often and always- right?

Good luck!
