(no subject)
Really grumpy because I just learned about a SUPER late shipment at work... it's hard when something happens that's beyond your control, and you have to be the messenger that ends up getting shot. I guess I shouldn't complain too much because this hasn't happened in a long time... but it's still not the way I wanted my Friday to go.
I've been in my usual mid-December throes... i.e. writing Christmas cards and practicing for the Nutcracker. I'm really bummed out because my parents, once again, are completely not interested in going to see it... my mom said they don't want to since they've "already seen it." Well, HELLO, it's not the kind of thing you see just once and that's it. And the last time they saw it was 6 years ago at Alma, and I wasn't on bassoon that time!!! I don't know why this matters to me so much--I guess since bassoon is such a tough instrument and I'm proud that I can play through it. I think I will post it as an event to Facebook to see if any friends are interested in going. (I get discounted tickets--hint, hint.)
As usual, really looking forward to the trip to Michigan. It sounds like I'll get to hang out with a lot of old friends, maybe even a few from high school, if I can swing out to Ann Arbor.
