Melinda Gordon was used to ghosts just appearing in her house by now. She had woken from a strange dream and now looked around, searching for her mysterious guest.
Jill Monroe was at her side in seconds. “Save her.”
“Who?”
“Kelly… Kelly Garrett… please, he’s hurting her.”
“Where is she?”
Jill shook her head, clearly frustrated. A book fell open to an entry on a ruined church just on the edge of town.
Melinda took the hint and headed toward the church, glad when she spotted the brunette lying on a touchstone.
“Kelly…??”
“Who are you?”
“Melinda… Jill sent me.”
“Jill… she’s dead…”
