Star Trek: TNG. Deanna/Beverly. Connected.
Neither Deanna or Beverly considered themselves particularly connected to anyone. Some had found that amusing as almost everyone had seen how much they cared for each other.
The proof that they were connected to each other had come when Beverly went missing, Deanna seeming to instinctively know where Beverly was, neither woman had wanted to admit how much they cared for each other.
When they had found Beverly and brought her back to the ship’s medi-bay it was clear how connected they were. Deanna had sat at Beverly’s side every night until she was better, caring for and protecting her, connecting with Beverly when the woman seemed to be struggling to get back to herself.
Being connected had it’s uses as was proved when the two went back to work and had a constant idea of when the other needed help.
